USCT Alumni Meet initiated with the torch

Alumni meet is a formal event where students who have graduated from university come together for a get-together. This is an event organised as for alumni to get to time travel their memories of the university and also for students to get a chance to interact with the alumni to get to know about how they overcome with the struggles they faced while studying in the university.

The Alumni meet in University School of Chemical Technology was organised by the USCT Alumni Association (USCTAA) which work on the objective to keep track of the alumni and interact with them for the development of the USCT.

It may also benefit students as alumni working in the industrial sector can connect the industries to the universities by getting into internships or training.

the meet was initiated with a small tea in the morning. All the alumni were welcomed with a blessing with a tilak and a sweet. 

the meet was started with lighting of the torch symbolising a peaceful gesture. It was further enlighted with a speech of Prof. Arinjay Kumar Jain who is the dean of USCT and then with the speech of Prof. S.S. Sambhi who was the very first dean of the Chemical Department of USCT and currently the president of IIChE north regional centre.Also, many wise words of wisdom were given by the professors of  the USCT

The meet further proceeded with the talks of the alumni where Mr Vineet Bakshi who is the head member of USCTAA discussed developments made during the years of forming the association and what are the future development plans to be executed. then, a series of talks were initiated where alumni took the podium and shared their valuable experience in the industry.

The charm of the meet was bloomed with a breathtaking performance by Sahil Sharma ( founder of Sahil Sharma Foundation) and was appreciated. A buffet was organised where alumni, faculty and students enjoyed delicious delicacies.

The meet was further continued with a special video made by students which included memories made by the alumni during their college days. Also, another special performance was made by the students of USCT describing the life moments of a student in the college and how these moments are later turned into memories.

the event was concluded with further talk with the alumni proceeding with a cake cutting ceremony and a group picture of students and the alumni. The meet was made possible with the hard work of students and faculty of USCT and the Alumni association that made the meet a success.
